Laura received a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California in 1982, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Berkeley. Laura is a founding member of Lawrence Partners in Aging (LAPA), Co-chair of Douglas County Coalition on Aging, member of Lawrence Medical Managers, and board member of the Gray Panthers of Kansas & Western Missouri. Laura has worked as a senior physical therapist in the areas of orthopedics, neurological rehab, women's health, and geriatrics. Laura has advanced training in musculoskeletal evaluation, foot biomechanics, myofascial release, lymphedema treatment, incontinence management, geriatric neurology, and Anodyne Therapy. Laura writes a monthly health column in the Kaw Valley Senior Monthly newspaper.
