- Laura Bennetts, PT, MS, Owner
Laura Bennetts is founder and owner of Lawrence Therapy Services and Baldwin Therapy Services. Laura received a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California in 1982, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Berkeley. Laura is a founding member of Lawrence Partners in Aging (LAPA), founding member of the Douglas County Coalition on Aging (DCCOA) and a member of Lawrence Medical Managers (LMM).
Laura has worked as a senior physical therapist in the areas of orthopedics, neurological rehab, women's health, and geriatrics. Laura has advanced training in musculoskeletal evaluation, foot biomechanics, myofascial release, lymphedema treatment, incontinence management, geriatric neurology, and Anodyne Therapy. Laura writes a monthly health column in the Kaw Valley Senior Monthly newspaper.
- Evonne Cooper, PT
Evonne received a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Kansas in 1972. She began working with Lawrence Therapy Services in 2001.
Evonne specializes in helping adults with muscle weakness, mobility, balance, or pain problems to help them regain their independent lifestyle. Evonne also specializes in treating people with osteoporosis, diabetic peripheral neuropathy, and total joint replacements.
- Diane Bell, PT
Diane received a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Kansas in 1976. She began working with Lawrence Therapy Services in 2005.
Diane has advanced training in treating back and neck injuries, sports injuries, orthopedic rehabilitation, joint mobilization, trigger point therapy and craniosacral therapy. She is part of the Lawrence Therapy Services Workers' Compensation Rehabilitation team and specializes in onsite ergonomic job analysis and Functional Capacity Evaluations.
- Trisha Brabender, PT, MS
Trisha Brabender received a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Kansas Medical Center in 1993 and a Bachelor of Science in Education in 1989 from the University of Kansas. She began working with Lawrence Therapy Services in 2008.
Trisha specializes in geriatrics, specifically gait and balance issues, osteoporosis management and fracture prevention, orthopedic injuries, and acute and chronic pain issues. Trisha also has extensive training in utilizing yoga as therapeutic exercise and in adapting yoga therapeutics for the older adult.
- Karen Ely PT MS
Karen earned a Masters in Physical Therapy from the University of Kansas in 1993. Karen specializes in treatment of children, adults with neurological problems, orthopedic injuries, joint injuries, neck/back pain, and walking/balance problems. Karen has been treating children locally since 1997 and in the Kansas City area since 1993. Karen joined Lawrence Therapy Services in 2012.
- Sandy Seiler PT MS
Sandy received her Masters in Physical Therapy from University of Kansas in 1995. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and an Orthopedic Section Member of the APTA. Sandy specializes in the treatment of orthopedic problems, sports injuries, neck/back pain, neurological problems and joint surgery recovery. She is skilled in work conditioning rehab and Functional Capacity Evaluations. Sandy has experience in spanish interpretation in medical settings and is spanish proficient in her work with patients. She has worked with Lawrence Therapy Services since 2012.
- Marissa Clark MPT
Marissa Clark MPT received her masters in Physical Therapy from Loma Linda University in 1995. She specializes in neurological physical therapy; and has extensive experience helping patients who have Parkinson's Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, and Ataxic gait problems. She is certified in fitting and training patients with Balance Ware for improving balance. Marissa teaches her TIP program (Techniques to Improve Parkinson's Disease) seminars locally and nationally to train medical professionals in the innovative techniques she has developed.
In 2011, Marissa was the Keynote Speaker for University of Kansas Medical Parkinson's and Movement Disorder Centers for the 5th Annual Parkinson's Disease Symposium. Marissa was the Keynote speaker for the National Parkinson's Heartland Association Symposium in 2013.
- Ashley De Los Reyes DPT
Ashley De Los Reyes DPT received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Rockhurst University in 2012. She specializes in the treatment of orthopedic problems,neurological conditions, sports injury, sports performance, post surgical joint rehabilitation, knee pain, shoulder problems and and neck/back pain problems. Ashley is certified in spine manual therapy with the International Spine and Pain Institute and a member of the American Physical Therapy Association. She treats children and adults in our Baldwin office, Baldwin Therapy Services.
