Anodyne Neuropathy Treatment Program
Lawrence Therapy Services is a center for the treatment of Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy and Peripheral Neuropathy. Neuropathy causes numbness and pain in the feet and hands. The pain and the illness become worse overtime and can lead to a high risk for falling when the person cannot feel their feet on the ground.
Anodyne is a light therapy that is safe and effective for reducing pain and increasing sensation by increasing blood flow. The treatments are 30 to 45 minutes long 3 times a week to the painful feet. At Lawrence Therapy Services, you will also do exercises to increase strength, balance exercises to decrease fall risk and gait training to improve your speed, safety and agility as you walk. Anodyne, in conjunction with an exercise program during treatment,is covered by medical insurance when it is part of a Physical Therapy plan of care.
