What is Anodyne Therapy?
Anodyne Therapy is an FDA-cleared system that delivers monochromatic infrared photo energy to produce extraordinary clinical results for a variety of conditions and diagnoses. Anodyne Therapy has been used by medical and veterinary clinics, the Navy Seals, the Army Rangers and many other military institutions for years because it gets results faster than any other modality.
How does Anodyne Therapy work?
Flexible pads are applied directly to the skin on any part of the body and light is emitted through the pads into the skin. The photon energy coming from the pads releases Nitric Oxide from the hemoglobin in the red bloods cells.
What is so special about addition Nitric Oxide in the blood?
Dr. Tom Burke, Ph.D. is credited for doing research and case studies on Anodyne Therapy and Nitric Oxide and its benefit to the body. Nitric Oxide is important because it increases circulation, has beneficial effects on nerve function and pain, and helps deliver oxygen and nutrients where they are needed. In addition, Nitric Oxide reduces swelling, inhibits nerve firing associated with pain, and increases collagen syntheses and proper collagen fibril alignment. Nitric Oxide is also necessary for the formation of new capillaries and cell migration in a wound site, and relaxes smooth muscle tissue.

YES! Anodyne is absolutely safe. The only people that cannot use Anodyne Therapy are those who are pregnant or who have active malignancy. The Anodyne intensity can be adjusted to meet the needs of each client.
How Can I Get Started?
To begin Anodyne Therapy, we need a prescription from your physician that states, "Physical Therapy (or Occupational Therapy) evaluate and treat," along with you diagnosis and "Anodyne Therapy" written on the prescription. Once we have received the prescription, we will confirm your insurance and schedule your initial visit either in our clinic or in your home. All of the Anodyne treatments will be administered by a licensed physical or occupational therapist.
How long are the treatment sessions?
The duration of each treatment depends on the specific condition being treated, but range anywhere from 20 to 45 minutes each time. Treatments are normally administered in our therapy clinic or in your home three time a week; however, some conditions like wounds may respond more favorable to daily treatments. The duration of treatment can range from four to six weeks.
When will I see results?
Results vary, depending on the condition being treated. Some people experience results after just one treatment, and many experience results after a few treatments.
Is it covered under insurance?
Some private insurance companies cover Anodyne Therapy; however, most do not. If Anodyne is something that is medically necessary for your condition but that is not covered by your insurance provider, we can talk to you about the reasonable cost of Anodyne Therapy sessions as well as the payment plans that we have available.
